This seaside campsite on Sicily’s northern coast, just west of Cefalù, offers a wonderfully convenient position separated from the shore by a quiet road, making a trip to the beach effortless. The beach itself is a mix of sand and pebbles; after stepping about four meters into the water, the seabed becomes pure sand and the water is clear and clean. The sanitary facilities are well-maintained and spotless, with handy foot-washing basins to rinse off sandy feet. A bread service and a bar keep daily needs covered on-site, and there is a pleasant playground for children. The staff are exceptionally welcoming and friendly, many speaking English, which makes communication smooth for international visitors. Regular guests praise the owners for their hospitality, and return repeatedly, especially in quieter January periods. The campsite features a flat, quiet area with a back road along the railway that is perfect for cycling. WiFi is excellent, with particularly strong reception near the reception area. A highly recommended restaurant lies just a three-minute walk away, making dining out effortless. Essential services such as a garage with autogas on the main SS113 road and a couple of supermarkets are also nearby. The train station is a 15-minute walk, offering direct connections to Cefalù and Palermo. Nearby attractions include the ruined Greek temple of Himera with its fascinating museum. However, weekend visits can bring a very loud disco that lasts until around 3:00 AM, also audible from a second disco further down the road, which disrupts the peace. Also note that only cold water is available for washing dishes. The beach just outside is pebbly, but the lovely sandy beach of Cefalù, its charming historic center, and the notable Norman cathedral are a short trip away.
