This Sicilian campsite offers a stunning location and easy beach access, but its charm is overshadowed by serious neglect and squalor. The grounds are frequently described as filthy, littered with rubbish, construction debris, and full garbage bags. Sanitary facilities are moldy, dirty, and unpleasant, raising health concerns. While the staff are friendly, their efforts are undermined by a severe rodent infestation, with guests reporting large dead rats and droppings throughout the tent area and bathrooms. A colony of sickly cats roams freely, their droppings left uncleaned, which only adds to the unsanitary conditions. The quietness of the site is ruined by a nearby restaurant playing extremely loud music until midnight, and sometimes setting off fireworks at 1 AM. A powerful floodlight stays on all night, disturbing sleep. The tent area is cramped and positioned next to a steep access road where vehicles rev engines past the 11 PM curfew. An overflowing underground well periodically floods part of the site. Electric hookups do work, but little else is functional. The restaurant is often closed or disappointing. Initial stays in a nice, tree-shaded tent area can quickly turn sour when pests force guests to relocate. Even after moving, the central area offers no peace and feels neglected. The overall condition is so untenable that some visitors leave immediately upon arrival. The family-friendly atmosphere is completely undermined by the lack of basic cleanliness, pest control, and noise management. Despite the beautiful coastal setting, this campsite requires significant improvements before any traveler should consider a return visit.
