The site sits beside a vast, nearly empty sandy beach with direct access to the coast, though accessing the beach requires wading across a river that becomes quite wide at high tide. Tarifa is a charming town nearby, filled with great restaurants and shops, and the site is conveniently close for cycling, though the route runs along a main road. The pitches themselves are well-maintained, with varying sizes and a choice of both shaded and sunny spots, many equipped with electricity. The sanitary facilities have been described as both dirty and in need of renovation in some years and cleaned twice daily with available toilet paper and soap in others. The on-site restaurant serves a limited menu of just paella and pizza, which may not suit everyone's tastes, and the food has been criticized as microwaved reheated dishes. An expensive bar with bright lights and loud music disturbs the peace into the night. WiFi coverage is very poor, available only near the bar area with connectivity reportedly absent most of the time. Staff have been both friendly and helpful, even accommodating late arrivals after midnight, and rude and unhelpful on other occasions. The site does not participate in the ACSI discount program, and guests feel the prices are far too high for the deteriorating conditions. There is no children's play area, and the pitches themselves need occasional mowing and maintenance. The campsite is best suited for kite surfers in camper vans, but less so for families or those seeking modern amenities.
