Public buses stop directly outside the gate, offering frequent connections into the city and to the palace, and taxis are also a convenient option. The warm, exceptionally helpful owners—who speak good English and bring over six decades of experience—gladly help plan excursions and provide detailed local information. The small pitch count (about 46 spots) and clientele from France, Germany, and the Netherlands create a quiet, friendly atmosphere, and management actively addresses any noise disturbances. Sanitary facilities are modern, spotless, and heated, earning consistent praise from guests. Showers deliver reliable hot water, and the toilets and overall cleanliness are maintained to a high standard, with cleaning occurring multiple times daily. The on-site restaurant serves quality food that draws locals, though prices are on the higher side; fresh bread is available each morning. The swimming pool is a popular seasonal feature but typically does not open until May, so early-season visitors should confirm availability. WiFi is excellent and reliable throughout the campsite, even reaching caravans. Pitches are clearly delineated but tend to be long and narrow, requiring careful maneuvering, and awnings may not fit on every spot; some areas feel crowded like a parking lot, while a few hedged spots offer more privacy. A major drawback is nearby noise: a kennel rouses campers around 6:45 am, and a local festival in late spring brings loud music until 5 am. The campsite no longer accepts ACSI cards.
