The natural setting remains lovely and serene, offering an ideal backdrop for tranquility and extensive walking opportunities. Recent reviews highlight a positive transformation, with ongoing restoration work clearing away dilapidated huts and trash to create a tidy and peaceful environment. The new owner is exceptionally helpful and communicative, even managing with limited English to assist guests in basic German. While the main restaurant was closed in earlier years due to renovations, a snack bar now provides adequate meals, and the on-site restaurant is expected to reopen soon. The front area features well-maintained grass pitches equipped with electricity and running water connections, while the rear section still houses older seasonal caravans. Modernization efforts are visibly underway, with a fairly new toilet block that offers basic sanitation facilities and complimentary showers. One of the site managers speaks Dutch, adding a welcoming touch for Dutch-speaking guests. However, the sanitary blocks urgently need renovation or more frequent cleaning, as this remains a notable drawback. Earlier reports described the site in serious disrepair, with a swimming pool that was out of use and filled with rubbish, a minimal and shabby playground, and a closed restaurant.
