This campsite presents a complex picture, blending excellent facilities with a widely variable reception from its staff. The location is a major draw, offering quick access to a beautiful lake that is perfect for swimming and beach relaxation. The grounds themselves are beautifully maintained, with generous, well-marked pitches that often include fresh water, grey water drainage, and electricity hookups. Sanitary blocks are consistently described as modern, spotlessly clean, and cleaned multiple times a day, with thoughtful touches like a separate children's area. A bread roll service and homemade cakes on weekends add a nice local flavor. The area is ideal for outdoor activities, with bicycle routes starting right from the campsite and plenty of local information available at reception. For families, there is ample grassy space for children to play, and dogs are welcomed with clear guidelines. However, the experience is heavily tarnished by the human element; while some guests report a warm welcome, multiple recent reviews describe the owners and staff as intensely rude, unwelcoming, and hostile. This negative atmosphere, including reports of shouting upon arrival, can make guests feel distinctly unwanted. A constant hum from nearby motorways may also affect the tranquility for some. The campsite closes for 2.5 hours at midday, and payment for the chosen days is required in advance. Despite the excellent physical amenities, the contradictory staff interactions seriously compromise the overall stay.
