Tucked away in the hills between Seville and Córdoba, this rural campsite is a true sanctuary of serenity, where the soundtrack is composed of birdsong, rustling leaves, and the gentle lapping of the nearby lake. It offers a wonderfully remote escape with minimal light and noise pollution, making it ideal for stargazing and reconnecting with nature. The sprawling, unmarked pitches are generously sized and shaded by trees, though they can feel a bit overgrown at times. The owners, particularly Miguel, are repeatedly praised for their warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful nature, often going out of their way to accommodate guests. Facilities include a simple honesty bar overlooking the lake, a small but well-stocked shop, and clean toilets. Showers are basic and sometimes open to the elements, with water that can be lukewarm. Potable water is not available on site, but bottled water can be purchased. The site offers electric hookups, waste disposal, and a washing machine for laundry. During dry summers, the grass may be long, and flies can occasionally be bothersome near the farm boundary, with a slight farm odor drifting in. The dishwashing area lacks hot water, but guests can use the hot water station nearby. Off-season, the campsite can be very quiet and sparsely occupied, enhancing the feeling of privacy and calm. The charming town of Puebla de los Infantes is a short drive away, offering supermarkets, bars, and restaurants, though the campsite itself is a 45-minute walk from the village. A short drive leads to a lake beach, and the area is popular for cycling and motorcycle rides. The approach roads are winding and narrow in places but manageable with care. Despite minor drawbacks, this campsite delivers excellent value, friendly hospitality, and a truly restful natural setting that invites return visits.
