This campsite is a peaceful haven away from the hustle and bustle, with no nearby villages or shops. It offers spacious pitches and clean sanitary facilities, with the added convenience of bread delivery and weekly food trucks. The site is beautifully located on a lake where you can swim and kayak, and it serves as an excellent base for nature walks. The staff are friendly and helpful at check-in, but booking required full payment upfront with no clear mention of electrical amperage; the promised 10 amps turned out to be only 6, causing issues for those cooking electrically. The campsite is divided into a high and a low section, with the lower part near the lake lacking any sanitary block—guests must climb a steep slope to reach the toilets and showers, which is challenging for anyone with knee or back problems. The men's block has just two toilets and one shower, and the women's has two of each, though everything is kept very clean. The steep gradient also makes it difficult to exit with a caravan, and the entrance gate must be manually opened and closed. Additionally, the campsite's website appears to block reservations for guests with dogs, yet dogs were present on site during the stay, suggesting an inconsistent pet policy. Guests should be prepared for limited power supply and a physically demanding layout. The lake access is a highlight, offering recreational opportunities that make the challenging terrain worth it for many. Despite the drawbacks, the tranquility and natural beauty of the site create a memorable camping experience. The cleanliness of the facilities is consistently praised, even if their number is insufficient. The value for money is compromised by the electrical issues and lack of amenities near the lake. Overall, this is a site for those who prioritize seclusion and water activities over convenience and accessibility.
