Tucked into the mountainside of Haute-Corse, this small, rustic campsite is a haven of tranquility wrapped in cork oaks and greenery. Each pitch is thoughtfully crafted, many with a private tap, sink, bench, and fridge, while electrical hookups are available on request. The owners, Pascal and Corinne, are exceptionally welcoming and generous, engaging guests with warmth and humor and offering personalized advice on local swimming spots and guidebooks. The setting is remarkably quiet and cool even in summer, with stunning starry nights and a stream nearby. Resident donkeys and a horse add to the charm, and children delight in walking a donkey up the mountain. Sanitary facilities are basic but kept very clean and fresh-smelling. A communal refrigerator is available for self-sufficient camping. There is no bar or restaurant on site, but a small bar and supermarket are a short drive away. Beautiful Cap Corse beaches and the Restonica Valley are about 20 to 35 minutes by car, while Bastia and Corte are within a half-hour drive. The access road is steep and unpaved, challenging in wet weather, and a bit more lighting would be welcome. The campsite is ideal for authentic, low-key touring rather than glamorous resort stays. Its central location near a main road makes it a great base for exploring northern Corsica by car.
