Arriving via a cobblestone road, you’re met with a genuinely friendly welcome that sets a warm tone. The campsite offers free choice of placement across a large, open meadow, giving you plenty of space to settle in. Pitch sizes are notably generous, ideal for spreading out with a caravan or tent. However, the experience quickly sours when you encounter the sanitary facilities. Toilets lack basic essentials like toilet paper and are marred by cobwebs, while the washing-up area is filled with dead insects. Showers are dingy and mirrors are grimy, making the whole block feel neglected. Cleanliness is a major letdown here, with an overall unkempt atmosphere. The playground is aged and tired, offering little appeal for children. Waste disposal stations are overcrowded, adding to the sense of strain on the infrastructure. Perhaps the biggest drawback is the relentless noise from a nearby highway and airport, which shatters any hope of tranquility. This is far from a quiet retreat, earning a low rating for peacefulness. The road access itself is cobblestone, which can be bumpy but manageable. Despite the staff’s pleasant demeanor, the value for money feels poor given the state of the amenities. For a single overnight stop while passing through, it might just be tolerable. But for a longer stay, the combination of noise, grime, and outdated facilities makes it hard to recommend. It’s a place to park and sleep, not to relax or explore. Most campers would be wise to move on quickly.
