Nestled on terraced grounds with sweeping views of nature, a river, and meadows, this campsite offers spacious pitches ideal for couples and their dogs. The location is a gateway to hiking and mountain bike trails, with easy train connections to Luxembourg City from nearby Vianden and Diekirch. A cycling and walking map can be purchased on site. The atmosphere is quiet and peaceful, attracting a predominantly Dutch clientele. The on-site bistro or restaurant serves well-prepared meals from a limited menu, including vegetarian options like cheese croquettes, though opening hours are short (6 PM to 8 PM) and reservations are not required. Some guests have reported unprofessional staff behavior, including a waiter who refused service over a gluten allergy query and a manager who argues publicly with visitors. Reception has restricted hours, open only from 9 AM to noon and 2 PM to 4 PM. Since the summer, new owners have taken over, and early feedback has been very positive. Facilities are kept spotlessly clean daily, and dogs are thoroughly welcome and enjoy the area. There are no supermarkets nearby, so guests must plan their shopping ahead. A six-day stay in June offered good weather and a comfortable base. However, issues with ACSI membership discounts have been reported: a long-time member who forgot to mention their membership at check-in was refused the discount on departure, with staff claiming the system wouldn't allow it—an explanation the guest found untrue based on 15 years of experience at other ACSI sites. Guests are advised to explicitly state their membership at arrival. Overall, the region is beautiful, and many visitors express a desire to return, though dining flexibility and staff hospitality show room for improvement.
