This campsite enjoys a prime location directly on the banks of the Naab River, offering direct water access for swimming and scenic riverside pitches that many guests appreciate. The entire site is meticulously maintained, with facilities consistently described as spotlessly clean and well-kept across multiple years. Visitors praise the friendly and helpful staff throughout, from reception to the restaurant team, with multilingual support noted. The on-site amenities are a highlight, including a restaurant serving delicious local dishes and beers, a shop with daily fresh bread and camping essentials, and a practical laundry service. Pitches are spacious, level, and some offer additional privacy thanks to hedges or borders, while grassy plots are often pre-marked for easy arrival. The site is very dog-friendly, with excellent walking opportunities nearby, and features a playground, sports fields, a sauna, and a solarium for families. Free showers are a valued perk, contributing to a good price-performance ratio, and sanitary blocks are generally commended for cleanliness and spaciousness. However, a major and repeated drawback is the lack of card payment anywhere on site, with cash essential for reception, shop, and restaurant. A frequent noise issue stems from a road on the opposite riverbank, audible day and night, particularly from riverside pitches, though many find it not overly bothersome. During peak season the site can become very busy, with some early morning noise from the play area and occasional late-night noise in temporary-stay areas. A few guests found restaurant service occasionally unmotivated, and the reception closes for two hours at midday, which can cause delays when checking out. WiFi is limited, working well only near the reception, and electric hookups require meter readings for usage-based billing. Some guests noted hard ground for tent pegs or muddy conditions after rain, but the beautiful river setting and welcoming atmosphere make it a popular stopover and holiday destination, close to Regensburg for day trips.
