This campsite enjoys a wonderful location right by a lake, making it a scenic spot for a stopover. It is conveniently situated close to the highway, just after Clermont-Ferrand, which is ideal for travelers passing through. On-site, there is a small bistro that is modern and well-stocked. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with plenty of space and options for campers. New sanitary facilities have been installed, though during the low season only the older building may be open, and the newer one might lack hot water. At the start of the season, only the annex building's sanitary block is open, offering just one shower for men with only lukewarm water. Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities are a major letdown, described as old, neglected, and lacking basic amenities like hooks, toilet seats, and proper fixtures. The overall impression is that the washrooms feel uncared for and poorly maintained. The pitches are spacious, offering plenty of room for campers, caravans, or tents. Reception is friendly, but be aware of a lengthy midday closure when the barrier is down—even in warm weather. Within 300 meters you will find a large supermarket, McDonald’s, and other restaurants, plus cheap fuel. The site itself offers simple snacks, and many guests return year after year for overnight stays. A guest who stayed only one night due to dissatisfaction was unable to obtain a refund for the second night, suggesting that customer service in that area was lacking. The campsite's sanitation facilities are severely outdated and not consistently maintained, which detracts from the overall experience. On one occasion, ordered bread was stored among tools where a handyman was working, indicating poor organization. These issues reflect the typical drawbacks of a municipal campsite. However, the friendliness of the staff goes a long way in compensating for these shortcomings.
