This campsite offers a tidy and tranquil retreat with spacious, level pitches ideal for campervans. The friendly owner made an exception for an early check-in, as the reception normally closes for a lunch break until 3 PM. The sanitary facilities are generally well-maintained and clean, though half of them only provide cold water, making them unsuitable for showering or washing dishes. The other building has just one shower and one toilet per gender, which can be a limitation. A pleasant walking trail circles a small lake that is currently being renovated, and cyclists can enjoy a scenic route to Flavigne’s charming shop featured in the film 'Chocolat', as well as a path along the canal. The atmosphere is notably quiet, offering a good choice for relaxation. Pitches are hedged for good privacy, and some visitors found the size generous and well separated. The location is conveniently near a town, making it easy to explore the area. However, some guests did not keep their dogs on a leash, creating an unpleasant situation near low drinking fountains. Cleanliness of the sanitary facilities is generally good, but the variable water temperature is a notable drawback. Guests should be prepared for occasional pet-related annoyances. Overall, the campsite excels in pitch quality and peaceful ambiance, but the sanitary facilities require improvement.
