However, earlier reports paint a contrasting picture, describing tight control by the German couple who run the operation and requiring guests to request permission for many services such as emptying chemical toilets or disposing of gray water. Fees for these services are often waived only for stays of three nights or more, which some find restrictive. The on-site kitchen offers dreamlike cuisine that leaves no wishes unfulfilled, with recent reviews praising the restaurant to the highest degree.
