This lakeside campsite boasts a stunning setting with direct beach access and beautiful sunrises and sunsets over the water, particularly during clear weather. The spacious pitches offer scenic views, with some located directly alongside the lake, though they can be on the smaller side and lakefront spots fill quickly. The atmosphere is wonderfully laid-back and peaceful, making guests feel immediately at ease and providing a genuine family camping vibe. The staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful, contributing to a welcoming experience. A highlight is the on-site restaurant and terrace, which serves tasty, inexpensive meals and affordable drinks in a social setting. A small shop sells packaged bread, though many guests prefer to buy fresh items at the well-stocked supermarket, which is just a 700-meter walk or a short drive away. The town center of Castiglione del Lago and several other supermarkets are also within easy reach. A cycling path runs right from the campsite entrance along the lake, perfect for exploring the area. The sanitary facilities receive mixed reviews; some guests find them excellent and well-cleaned, while others describe them as aged, worn, and poorly lit, especially with blue lighting in the evenings. Showers and toilets have also been noted as problematic in some years, with the cleanliness of these areas fluctuating. The newly built swimming pool is a highlight, accessible for guests including those with disabilities, and low-season rates are notably affordable. However, the pool and restaurant may be closed at the end of the season. Electrical hookups provide only 3 amps, which is insufficient for running appliances like a coffee machine, and upgrading costs extra. The access road is suitable for large motorhomes, but the approach can carry some traffic, and parking a long motorhome is tricky, especially at the greywater disposal point. Mosquitoes and beetles can be a severe problem, and muddy paths after rain are common. The lake's water levels can be low, making the beach less appealing at times. Despite these occasional inconveniences, the campsite delivers a pleasant lakeside holiday, combining a relaxed vibe with practical amenities and a scenic setting. Overall, it is a functional camp that prioritizes tranquility and scenic beauty over modern facilities.
