Friendly and helpful staff create a welcoming atmosphere, and the facilities have historically been praised as clean and well-maintained. Spacious pitches appeal to both tent campers and motorhome users, though some desire more dedicated spots. Night security patrols provide added peace of mind. Families especially appreciate the child-friendly environment and lively animation team organizing markets, fairs, bingo, and karaoke. The beautiful lake offers abundant recreation opportunities, and the management shows commitment to continuous improvement. However, recent seasons reveal notable deterioration. Permanent campers clutter their pitches with extensions and plastic sheets, severely reducing privacy. Motorhome pitches on fields are narrow and become muddy when wet. Shower facilities are too few with non-adjustable water temperature and poor ventilation, leading to dampness and odors. Toilets and hand dryers disappoint, though a small night-time washroom helps. Dogs feel unwelcome, banned from the swimming area, lakefront path, boat trips, and the onsite Spanish restaurant. The swimming pool is very small for high season, and noisy parties from seasonal campers often disturb the peace past midnight. Sanitary facilities now suffer from frequent dirt, clogged drains, broken taps, and overflowing waste bins. Many guests feel the value for money is poor given the facility conditions. Despite these drawbacks, the beautiful setting, hike- and bike-friendly area, and well-maintained grounds with play options still attract visitors. Maintenance can be responsive when issues like a broken washbasin are reported promptly. The repetition of returning guests suggests lingering appeal, but declining ratings indicate a need for significant investment and policy review.
