This rural French campsite offers a peaceful setting with a small bar, fishing lake, and abundant wildlife. Pitches are mostly flat and pleasant, some with high hedges for privacy. The owners are friendly and welcoming, even for late arrivals, and fresh bread can be ordered for breakfast. However, facilities are consistently outdated and under-equipped; there are very few showers and toilets, often shared, with cleanliness issues reported in the dishwashing area and around chemical disposal points. The site primarily serves static caravans and chalets, so touring pitches can be tight or poorly maintained, with noise from the lake or neighbors a potential problem. Hookups may trip, and some areas have unpleasant odors. It is one of the cheapest options, but many feel the poor facilities and maintenance do not represent good value. The campsite works for a basic overnight stop near the ferry but is not recommended for longer stays, especially for touring guests seeking proper amenities.
