This moderately sized campsite sits right on the Dordogne River, along the main road from Souillac to Sarlat, yet road noise is practically absent. Pitches are reasonably spacious and well shaded by trees, each equipped with its own water point. Electricity is available at 10 amps. A small on-site restaurant offers a limited but excellent menu at very reasonable prices; the snack bar with terrace serves meals, though evening service ends mid-September and the snack bar closes entirely later that month. The campsite provides two sanitary blocks—one near the entrance and one at the far end—which are somewhat outdated but cleaned two to three times daily, plus small private cabins available. Showers deliver a good warm stream, and a coin-operated washing machine (tokens from reception) is on hand, though its half-hour cycle feels too brief. Free Wi-Fi is accessible at the snack bar and reaches a limited portion of the pitch area, while a room near reception also provides internet access. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The surrounding area offers countless sights and activities, including Souillac (12 km), Sarlat (17 km), and Rocamadour (32 km). Canoes can be hired both on site and elsewhere, and the campsite also rents holiday homes. The price is slightly higher than typical ACSI-rated campgrounds, yet still suitable for multi-night stays. Overall, it is a wonderful campsite and highly recommended for exploring the Dordogne region.
