Tucked away in the Normandy countryside, this campsite is a leafy haven perfect for a tranquil stopover or a longer escape. The spacious pitches are a standout feature, offering a choice of sun-drenched or cool, shaded spots, many separated by hedges and trees for excellent privacy. The owners and staff are consistently praised for their warm welcome and helpfulness, creating a genuinely friendly atmosphere. A well-maintained swimming pool provides a refreshing focal point, though it has been known to close unexpectedly on occasion. The on-site restaurant and bar serve tasty, homemade fare like pizzas and burgers, but it's wise to book ahead as it can close early. Free WiFi is available and sometimes excellent, but coverage can be patchy, and mobile signals may be weak. Sanitary facilities receive mixed feedback: while often clean with free hot showers, they can be dated, and guests should bring their own toilet paper and soap. The site is wonderfully quiet, especially at night, though occasional live music may surprise some guests. Location is convenient for exploring historic Rouen and charming Louviers, but the approach road is tricky, so following the recommended longer route is best. There is no shop for essentials, and laundry facilities may be out of order. The pitches are level and large, suitable for tents and campervans, though a few may be tight for bigger motorhomes. Dogs are welcome, with good forest walks nearby, though ticks can be a concern. The setting is beautifully natural and wooded, ideal for recharging. Overall, it offers good value for money, especially for a short stay, and is a peaceful base for discovering the region.
