Perched high in the Swiss mountains, this campsite delivers an authentic alpine escape with jaw-dropping natural scenery and a wonderfully peaceful ambiance. Guests consistently applaud the serene atmosphere, perfect for unwinding after a day of hiking or sightseeing. Despite its rural setting, it's conveniently close to Lake Neuchatel, where kids can splash and swim. The on-site restaurant is a standout, offering tasty meals and a cozy cafe bar that becomes a social hub. The campsite goes above and beyond with a fully equipped communal kitchen, games area, and multiple playgrounds, including a larger one near the restaurant. A stunning mountainside pool features a water chute and diving boards, and kids adore the ice cream cafe. The pitches are spacious and well-maintained, though the rocky ground can be tough for tent pegs. The staff are consistently friendly and welcoming, making every guest feel at home. Cleanliness of the toilet and shower blocks is impeccable, though showers are token-operated with limited time. There are extra charges for electricity, dogs, and hot water, which some find steep. Phone charging is tricky with no accessible sockets in rooms; a paid machine is available. Occasional nighttime gunfire from Swiss National Service target practice can be unsettling. The 2025 season brings free WiFi across the site, though the code renews daily. Early morning vehicle noise from the parking area is a minor nuisance. Overall, this campsite offers a memorable stay with excellent facilities for families and nature lovers, highly recommended for longer stays.
