This campsite sits alongside the Canal du Nivernais and the river Yonne, making it a natural base for cycling, walking, and fishing right from the exit. The surrounding region offers superb exploring opportunities, with Auxerre, Chablis, and the Guédelon castle restoration all within easy reach. A supermarket is conveniently located within walking distance, just 400 metres away. The staff at reception are consistently praised for their friendliness and helpfulness, with particular mentions of exceptional service and even rapid bicycle repairs. The grounds themselves are pleasant and well-maintained, and the pitches are spacious and flat, offering both sun and shade. The on-site restaurant serves excellent regional cuisine and local wine, though its menu can be limited and the snack bar may close during off-peak times. The site is dog-friendly and offers plenty of walking opportunities. However, the campsite suffers from serious and persistent drawbacks, especially concerning its sanitary facilities. The toilets and showers are frequently described as unkempt, outdated, moldy, broken, and insufficient for the number of guests, leading to morning queues. The swimming pool has been reported as uninviting with dirty water. Maintenance issues, such as unrepaired shower heads and a reception that opens late, have been noted. Noise can be a problem, sometimes from seasonal workers or long-stay tents, and sometimes from a nearby barking dog. The Wi-Fi connection is often weak or unreliable. Some pitches are quite compact, measuring only around 60 square meters. A sewage treatment plant just next door may cause odor depending on wind direction. Many long-term visitors feel the campsite has deteriorated in recent years, losing its former standards, and many decide not to return. Overall, while the setting and staff are highly regarded, the poor state of the facilities and cleanliness issues significantly undermine the experience.
