Guests consistently praise the generous size of the pitches, many of which are well-shaded by trees, well-defined by hedges, and offer a good degree of privacy, especially those right beside the water. The site is notably quiet and peaceful, particularly after 11 p.m., with only the gentle sound of the river breaking the stillness — a quality many return for year after year. The owners, Eric and Murielle, and their team receive high marks for their warm, attentive welcome, helpfulness in solving problems like vehicle breakdowns, and for maintaining a genuine family atmosphere. Canoe and kayak hire is available directly from the campsite, making it effortless to explore the stunning gorge from the water. The on-site snack bar and restaurant offer simple, tasty meals including excellent pizzas, though it may be closed on Tuesdays even in peak season; a bread-and-pastry order service in the morning is a much-appreciated touch. Cleanliness is a standout feature: the sanitary blocks are cleaned multiple times a day, well-stocked with toilet paper, and kept in impeccable condition throughout the day. The heated swimming pool is clean and pleasant, though several guests note it is on the small side and quite shallow, making it ideal for children but less suitable for adult swimming — thankfully the river provides a spacious, refreshing alternative with its own private beach area where campfires are allowed in the evening. The surrounding region offers endless opportunities for hiking, cycling, and sightseeing, with the village of Le Rozier and its handy supermarket just a kilometer away. The campsite is ideal for relaxing family holidays, with a dedicated children's entertainer providing daily activities that boost its family appeal. Some drawbacks are mentioned occasionally: the hot water for showers and dishwashing can be lukewarm or unreliable when busy, the Wi-Fi signal can be unstable or nonexistent, motion-sensor lights in the toilets and showers sometimes cause inconvenience, and the proximity of the upper part of the site to the road means some traffic noise is audible. A few guests also note that a small playing field for children and better organization of campfires on the beach would be welcome improvements.
