Nestled in the Belledonne mountain range, this small, family-run campsite offers a peaceful escape with breathtaking valley and peak views. Hosts Franck and Aurélie are renowned for their warm, attentive welcome and genuine care for guests. The site is exceptionally clean and well-maintained, with modern sanitary facilities praised for their spotlessness. Spacious, shaded pitches afford privacy and many boast spectacular vistas. A heated swimming pool with a mountain backdrop is a favorite feature. The communal room, equipped with a wood stove, table football, and library, provides a cozy social hub. Daily fresh bread and pastries can be ordered, and a small shop stocks basic essentials and local products. Food trucks visit several times a week, though the shop's selection is limited and no permanent restaurant operates. The area is ideal for hiking, mountain biking, and winter skiing, with easy access to Prapoutel station and the 7 Laux lakes trail. Guests appreciate the enforced quiet hours after 10 PM and minimal night lighting for stargazing. Note that pets are not allowed, the playground could use renovation, and shops and fuel require a drive down the hill. Some guests experienced temporary water cuts, swiftly resolved by management. Despite a few minor drawbacks, the value for money is considered excellent, and many guests express a strong desire to return. This tranquil, human-scale campsite is a rejuvenating retreat for couples, families, and outdoor enthusiasts.
