This campsite, a short bike ride from the dunes and the sea near Noordwijk, is an ideal base for exploring the region's bulb fields and charming towns. The staff are consistently praised for being friendly, welcoming, and enthusiastic, with the manager described as kind and committed and reception noted for its smooth and easy process. Many pitches are spacious and offer both electricity and water connections, and the overall setting is peaceful, especially during midweek stays, with great proximity to cycling paths, forests, and the coast. The on-site restaurant provides a pleasant dining option, while a visiting baker serves the site during summer mornings. However, the campsite has some notable drawbacks. Sanitary facilities receive mixed reviews, with reports of poor privacy in toilets, unhygienic conditions in men's restrooms, and cramped washing areas with limited sinks. Showers run on timed cycles—six minutes on, three minutes off—which can require careful planning. The grassy ground turns very muddy in wet weather, and access roads can become deep mud, occasionally requiring a tractor to free stuck vehicles. Noise from a nearby hostel has been reported as a problem, with disruptive behavior not always addressed. There is no on-site shop, and services like breakfast rolls are absent, while rigid prepayment policies with no refunds for early departures have drawn criticism. Despite these challenges, the site is clean and well-maintained in many respects, and the surrounding area offers excellent cycling opportunities. Many guests describe having a very enjoyable weekend and express a clear desire to return, finding that essential services are either available on site or close by.
