The owners, Jon and Bernie, are consistently praised for their exceptional hospitality, often greeting guests with a drink and offering personal assistance. Facilities are clean and homely, with recently upgraded showers and toilets, though some years note the sanitary blocks are basic and limited in number. A communal point provides basic supplies and a library. Dog owners will appreciate the dedicated fenced area for pets to run freely. The site is quiet and remote, ideal for relaxation, but WiFi is weak or unavailable, and the location is a few miles from amenities. Children are welcome, though specific activities are not highlighted. Guests highlight the excellent value for money, spotless cleanliness, and friendly, helpful staff who go above and beyond, such as offering an empty caravan to a guest with a leaking camper. Pitches are level, easy to set up on, and many have new electric hookups. The site is well-sheltered from wind with good ground for tent pegs. Some walkers wished for more walking routes from the site, but overall, it is a highly recommended destination for a quiet, relaxing getaway with outstanding service.
