Camping le Néri is a peaceful family-friendly retreat located in the rural commune of Mauroux, in the southern French department of Gers. This area is one of the least densely populated in Western Europe, offering a true escape from urban life. The campsite's rural setting provides panoramic views over the rolling hills that characterize this part of France. Guests can enjoy exceptionally clear night skies, as the region has minimal light pollution. The Gers department is also known for its sunny climate, recording more sunny days per year than any other French department. The campsite covers a generous 10 hectares, ensuring plenty of space for relaxation and exploration. Touring pitches are spacious, ranging from 80 to 120 square meters, and are arranged to offer a good degree of privacy. The atmosphere is calm and quiet, making it an ideal destination for those seeking tranquility. Families will find a welcoming environment with room for children to play safely. The campsite is open from the 1st of April until the 31st of October, and it is suitable for guests with disabilities, though it is not a naturist campsite. In addition to touring pitches, there are 17 rental accommodations available for those without their own gear. The ACSI inspection team, led by Inspector T. Vanderhaeghen, visits annually to verify over 200 facilities and service points, ensuring consistent quality and safety. Despite its rural seclusion, the nearby village of Mauroux offers a taste of local life and essential services. The uncrowded setting and natural surroundings make it a haven for stargazing, hiking, and simply unwinding. Visitors often appreciate the balance of peaceful isolation with the warmth of a family-run atmosphere.
