This shady campsite lies less than 10 kilometers from Carcassonne, making it a superb base for exploring the historic city by bike or a short bus ride. Guests consistently praise the exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, who create a welcoming atmosphere. The large swimming pool is a standout feature, receiving high marks for enjoyment. Many pitches are spacious and benefit from ample tree cover, though the partly sloping terrain can make leveling a bit tricky. The sanitary facilities have drawn mixed reviews over the years: while praised for cleanliness in earlier visits, recent reports note drainage issues causing shower water to flood the floor. Dishwashing water is only lukewarm, and several electrical hookup boxes are in poor condition. Toilet paper is not provided, which is common in France. The on-site restaurant and bar have been closed during recent visits, so dining options are limited. A bus to Carcassonne is accessible with a 10-minute walk from the campsite. Satellite TV reception can be tricky due to the tree cover. The darkness at night may be noticeable, but the quiet atmosphere is appreciated. Two lovely donkeys nearby add to the campsite's charm. Overall, it is highly recommended for its convenience and service, though facility maintenance could be improved.
