Set in the heart of the Camargue region, this seaside campsite enjoys a stunning location right by the beach and within easy walking distance of the charming village of Saintes Maries de la Mer, with its harbor, restaurants, and boutiques. Its major draws are the direct beach access, excellent pool area with slides and loungers, and spacious pitches that provide a good sense of freedom. The setting is ideal for cyclists and nature lovers wanting to spot flamingos in the surrounding wetlands. However, the experience is severely undermined by inconsistent and often poor cleanliness, particularly in the sanitary facilities, which are described as outdated, poorly maintained, and lacking essentials like soap and toilet paper. The shower system is frustrating, with daily time restrictions and a deposit system that can be problematic for refunds, especially for mobile payment users. WiFi service is weak and often unreliable, failing to meet basic connectivity needs. Mosquitoes and flies are a consistent nuisance, especially given the marshy landscape and dried-up surrounding lakes. The on-site shop and restaurant have been criticized for limited selection, high prices, and poor value, with the restaurant sometimes closing unexpectedly. The overall atmosphere is pleasant for relaxation, and the village is easily accessible. Yet, operational issues, a perceived decline in quality, and management policies such as full upfront payment with no refunds for early departure leave many guests feeling the four-star rating is unjustified and disappointed compared to previous visits.
