Nestled on a gentle slope with roughly 60 mostly flat pitches, this family-run campsite offers a peaceful retreat bordered by fields and commanding a clear view of a nearby chateau. The sanitary block—featuring toilets, showers, and washing-up stations—is cleaned multiple times daily, and a dedicated accessible shower and toilet are available. Access roads are a mix of tarmac and gravel, making arrival straightforward. A bakery van calls daily, and pizza caterers visit two evenings a week, serving excellent food. The lake is a 10- to 15-minute walk downhill, with free parking, a supervised swimming area, toddler facilities, and snacks available for a small fee. WiFi is provided but weak, and it is switched off overnight, though improvements are expected in the future. The owners are knowledgeable, extremely helpful, and offer good value for money, making this an excellent base for exploring walks, nearby Annecy, and scenic drives including a cable car trip to Le Sambuy with panoramic views of Mont Blanc. Pitches are spacious and surrounded by stunning mountain views and a castle sight. The village within walking distance has a bakery, supermarket, and restaurants. Sanitary facilities are clean and basic, though toilet paper is not provided inside the stalls. Staff are friendly and welcoming, contributing to a positive atmosphere. Overall, this is a neat and tidy campsite with a beautiful location and convenient access to local amenities.
