This campsite sits conveniently about 30 km from the highway and makes an excellent stopover for travelers heading along the A10 toward Paris or the south. It also works well for longer stays, thanks to its peaceful, forest-like setting that offers a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The exceptionally friendly owner greets guests personally, speaking fluent French and English, and escorts them directly to their pitch. Pitches vary from romantic, grassy spots nestled in the woods to hardstanding areas for caravans, with many being both spacious and shaded. The sanitary facilities are clean and modern, styled like an Ikea showroom, featuring spacious shower cubicles with a sink and plenty of hooks. Hot water requires pressing a motion sensor five times and can become very hot after two minutes, so mixing with cold water is needed. On-site amenities include a swimming pool, a bar, a food truck dishing up salads, local meats, and treats like ice cream, as well as a restaurant. The last kilometer of access road is narrow but has hardened verges to ease entry. The owner goes above and beyond, once helping a guest with car troubles by directing them to a nearby garage where they received free assistance. Some visitors note that certain facilities feel dated and poorly maintained, with showers occasionally delivering only cold water. The swimming pool can be a highlight when working, but it is sometimes empty or closed, making it unreliable. Pricing for passing campers can feel expensive relative to the tired condition of some amenities. Despite these drawbacks, the warm hospitality and pleasant surroundings make it a rewarding stop for many travelers.
