Tucked away among houses in a tranquil Alsatian village, this small, park-like campsite offers a wonderfully peaceful retreat with a laid-back atmosphere. The site is managed by exceptionally friendly and hardworking owners who keep the grounds immaculate and genuinely welcome guests, including those who do not speak French. Pitches are generally spacious and shaded by mature trees, though some can be tricky to access for caravans without a mover, and space can occasionally feel a bit cramped. The sanitary facilities stand out as a highlight, frequently cleaned and fresh, with unique eco-measures like rainwater-flushed toilets, sensor lights, and an effective recycling wall. Men's showers may run short during busy times, and the open-plan washrooms can feel cool and exposed in colder weather. A bakery, butcher, and pizzeria are just around the corner, while Lidl and Super U supermarkets lie only three kilometers away, making local shopping effortless. The campsite serves as an excellent base for exploring the region by bike or e-bike, with many beautiful Alsatian villages, restaurants, and nature spots nearby. Despite being centrally located, the site remains quiet, especially outside peak season, and the vibe is consistently relaxed and friendly. Wi-Fi is available throughout but can be inconsistent and prone to interruptions. Some guests have praised the fantastic value, care, and location, returning for repeated visits. However, a recent billing dispute sharply criticized the management for an arrogant, unfriendly attitude and refusal to refund, leading one guest to vow never to return. Overall, this campsite provides a serene, eco-conscious stay for those who appreciate peaceful surroundings and easy access to Alsatian charm, despite occasional drawbacks with washroom privacy and inconsistent customer service.
