Nestled between the River Loing and the Canal du Loing, this family-run campsite offers a beautifully maintained, serene natural setting that invites relaxation. The spacious, hedged pitches are well-shaded, providing excellent privacy for guests. The standout feature is the exceptionally warm, friendly, and multilingual staff, who go above and beyond to ensure a welcoming stay. Cleanliness is a consistent highlight, with modern sanitary facilities described as spotless and well-maintained. However, some guests find the shower water temperature inconsistent, often lukewarm, and the lighting runs on a timer. The peaceful atmosphere is generally quiet, though occasional distant highway noise and early morning sounds from hunters or trains may be heard. Onsite amenities include a small shop, a restaurant, and a popular food truck serving burgers, pizzas, and snacks in the evening. Guests can order fresh bread and pastries each morning from reception. Unique accommodations like tipis, gypsy caravans, and skylight bubbles add charm. The location is ideal for outdoor activities, with the EuroVelo 4 cycle route passing right by the site, offering beautiful routes for walking and cycling. A train station within a 15- to 20-minute walk provides direct access to central Paris in about an hour, making it a great base for day trips. The nearby Loing River provides a refreshing spot on hot days, though swimming is not officially permitted. The campsite is very welcoming to dogs and families, with a safe environment and a small playground for children. Wi-Fi is mostly limited to the reception area, and the shop could be improved for daily essentials. A few washrooms lack toilet paper and seat covers. Some guests wish for a swimming pool and more variety in food offerings. The gate closing at 10 pm may inconvenience late returners. Overall, this tranquil, well-run campsite offers excellent value for money and delivers a memorable stay for nature lovers and those exploring Fontainebleau and Paris.
