This lively family campsite centers on a large lake and offers abundant water activities such as tubing, banana rides, canoeing, and sailing, which keep teenagers especially entertained. The site features both an outdoor pool for splashing and a 25-meter indoor pool for lap swimming, though the pool enforces a strict policy against German-style swim shorts. Pitches are spacious, quiet, and shaded by trees, making them ideal for relaxing after a day on the water. The beach is sandy but often suffers from overcrowding, especially on weekends when day visitors flood in, and seaweed can be present. Sanitary facilities receive mixed reviews—they are sometimes reported as clean but are often described as outdated, unkempt, and poorly maintained, with only five showers each for men and women. High dusting is neglected, and some toilet blocks close early in the season. Wi-Fi is virtually non-functional, with access codes failing even at reception despite staff efforts. The surrounding area offers limited attractions beyond Bourg-en-Bresse, so the campsite itself is the main draw. The cottage equipment, especially appliances, needs improvement, and a strict one-vehicle rule for guests with disabilities is inconsistently enforced. Outside peak season, services like bread delivery and reliable WiFi are absent, and only cold water is provided despite a four-star brochure rating. Reception staff are friendly, but many employees speak limited English, and local English skills are poor. The large size of the campsite can mean long walks to reach the pool or lake from certain pitches. Cleanliness at the beach and pool areas deters some visitors from staying the full duration. Water activities come at an extra cost and must be booked separately. Guests often leave earlier than planned due to disappointing beach and pool conditions. Despite these drawbacks, families with pre-teens and teenagers frequently have a wonderful holiday thanks to the abundant lake activities.
