Tucked away in the heart of the Ardèche, this small, family-run campsite charms guests year after year with its warm hospitality and genuine sense of welcome. The team, particularly Fabienne, is consistently praised for being friendly, helpful, and professional, always ready to assist with a smile and good humour. Dogs are more than welcome here, with direct access to lovely walks along the Ardèche river from the pitch, making it a delight for pet owners. The site is wonderfully serene, offering a peaceful retreat, especially outside the peak season, though occasional noise from passing motorcycles or neighboring festivities can sometimes drift over. Cleanliness is a standout feature, with sanitary facilities described as immaculately maintained and cleaned multiple times a day, well-stocked with hot water. The pitches are spacious and shaded by trees, providing welcome relief from the heat, though some are open with little screening, offering relatively low privacy. The heated swimming pool is a highlight, well-maintained and enjoyed for both relaxing and swimming laps, though it can get crowded with little shade around it. The on-site bar and restaurant serve delicious food and daily specials at reasonable prices, with fresh bread available each morning, but opening hours can be limited, particularly in low season. The small shop is a gem for local products, often priced better than nearby supermarkets, though its hours are restricted. Activities like table tennis, giant chess, and pétanque are available, and the staff can organize canoe trips and hikes. Access roads for larger vehicles can be tricky, and following campsite signs rather than GPS is advised due to narrow village roads. WiFi is available but weak or in short timed sessions. The location is ideal for exploring the Ardèche's scenic attractions, including Vallon Pont d'Arc and the Via Ardèche cycling path, though a car is necessary as there is no shuttle bus. Overall, this is a calm, family-friendly base where guests feel truly at home, combining excellent service, clean facilities, and natural beauty for a relaxing holiday.
