This campsite is well-situated and generally pleasant, offering a relaxed atmosphere. The friendly staff provide excellent service, including helpful tips on discounts for longer stays. Spacious pitches on green grass allow guests to choose their own spot, with some offering plenty of shade or little shade. The pitches are notably large, providing ample room for caravans and motorhomes. Electrical hookups deliver 5 amps by default, with an optional upgrade to 10 amps available for an extra fee. The sanitary facilities are older but kept clean and functional, with warm showers and hot water for washing dishes. A simple restaurant is on-site, though it closes on Mondays when no cleaning occurs. A swimming pool is available but may open later in the season. The campsite is within walking distance of the charming town of Plasencia via a scenic riverside path, perfect for walking or cycling. A bike tour along the reservoir comes highly recommended. However, long-term Spanish residents with caravans have been reported harassing transient guests, such as flooding grass areas near pitches. Dogs are allowed to roam off-leash, causing disturbances. Some permanent pitches appear untidy, detracting from the overall appearance. The site is popular as a convenient stopover or base for exploring the area. Overall, the camping leaves a positive impression, worth a revisit.
