The Dutch-French owners provide a warm welcome and knowledgeable advice on tickets and transport. Fresh bread is available to order each morning from reception. The site lies along the Seine River, though the peace is broken by constant noise from a busy road, marshalling yard, fuel storage, and factories—rendering it unbearable for light sleepers. The on-site restaurant serves homemade pizzas, but other food options disappoint with reheated pasta and jarred sauces. Facilities have a faded glory feel: showers are dated and frequently lack hot water, the dishwashing area is outdated and dirty, and the small swimming pool is unheated and unkempt. Basic cleanliness is maintained in common areas, though the entrance barrier is broken and homeless individuals in cars have been observed on-site. Pitches are of good quality and guests can choose their own spot. A decent playground suits young children. The nearby town of Melun is somewhat disappointing. Wi-Fi is unreliable and very slow. The management couple is described as stiff and unfriendly, though their daughter is approachable. The site offers cycling, hiking, and trips to Fontainebleau. Overpriced pitches and food diminish the value for money. Many guests would not return due to the noise, dated facilities, and lack of hospitality.
