Nestled in a breathtaking wooded valley within the Drôme's Vercors region, this medium-sized, elongated campsite is bordered by the clear, fast-flowing Béz River, offering a serene mountain backdrop and hours of natural fun—guests can tube, build dams, or simply cool off in its refreshing waters. The swimming pool complex is a central highlight, featuring waterslides, a splash park with fountains, a separate toddler pool, and a current channel, all set against stunning mountain views, though the water is often reported as too cold and the area may feel overcrowded with inflatables while exhibiting minor maintenance needs like cracks in the concrete. Pitch sizes are notably generous, and most are shaded by trees and separated by natural vegetation, granting exceptional privacy so that many guests feel they can barely see their neighbors, though a few spots are located on busy paths or up to 800 meters from reception and facilities. The atmosphere is consistently described as quiet, relaxing, and serene at night, yet daytime vehicle traffic along the central road can be noticeable. The staff, particularly at reception and the owners, are widely praised as extremely friendly, helpful, and attentive, creating a warm welcome for guests. The on-site restaurant and snack bar receive mixed reviews: pizzas are good, but other dishes are often served lukewarm, overpriced, and limited in choice, with takeaway menus disappointing and restricted hours. The small shop functions more as a bakery with limited morning hours and a poor stock selection, forcing guests to order fresh bread via an app or bring their own supplies. The most criticized aspect is the sanitary facilities, especially block S3, which are often outdated, dirty, lacking toilet seats, and plagued by cold showers, inconsistent hot water, and occasional noise from pumps—despite being cleaned multiple times a day, neglect by users remains a problem. Laundry facilities are insufficient for the campsite's size, and costs for washing are seen as excessive. Wi-Fi is nearly non-existent on pitches, working only near reception, and mobile signal is very poor, frustrating guests who need connectivity. The campsite attracts a large majority of Dutch families (estimated 90-95%), which makes it easy for children to find friends but may feel less international to others. Children are well catered for with the river, pool slides, a kids' club, bouncy castles, mini golf, and sports activities, however, teenagers aged 12 and above often find the animation program unengaging as it focuses on younger kids and evening football. The elongated layout means pitches at the far end require a 10-15 minute walk to central amenities, making a bicycle strongly recommended, though EV charging points (slow for non-Tesla and expensive) and potable water taps are appreciated touches. The surrounding area offers excellent hiking and biking opportunities in the Vercors and Diois region, and the climbing park opposite adds extra adventure. Despite operational shortcomings in facilities, service in the restaurant can be rushed, and management sometimes responds defensively to complaints, the campsite's stunning natural setting, spacious private pitches, and aquatic fun make it a popular repeat destination for nature-loving families.
