This campsite is a true gem nestled in a stunning region of vineyards, charming villages, and the beautiful Lac de Salagou, with the lovely town of Pézenas just a short drive away. It serves as an excellent base for exploring the surrounding countryside and makes a serene stopover for travelers heading to Spain. The grounds are meticulously well-maintained, creating a pleasant atmosphere that often convinces guests to extend their stays. Visitors consistently praise the exceptionally friendly and attentive staff, who go out of their way to ensure a warm welcome, even communicating clearly in French for international guests. The on-site restaurant receives strong acclaim for its quality, and a small shop offers bread service for convenience. Pitches are generally spacious, especially in lower and mid-season when guests can choose their own spot; many are shaded by mature trees, though some touring pitches lack cover. The sanitary facilities are consistently described as practical and very clean, though a few guests note that the upper pitches are a bit farther from the washrooms. Access to the campsite can be tricky for larger motorhomes, and roads nearby may be narrow. While the site is quiet and safe, mobile signal is weak in some areas and Wi-Fi can be unreliable. A few visitors have experienced inconsistency with published closing dates, such as being closed in mid-October despite listings stating late October. Dog-related fees are considered high by some, and there is no designated dog walking area. On the whole, this human-scale campsite wins hearts with its tranquility, staff hospitality, and scenic location, making it a highly recommended destination for both stopovers and longer holidays.
