Perched high above Lac de Sainte‑Croix, this campsite rewards guests with breathtaking panoramic views that are consistently described as magnificent. The setting is remarkably quiet and peaceful, making it an ideal retreat from urban noise. Its location is superb for exploring the region, with the charming village of Aiguines just a five‑minute walk away and the Gorges du Verdon easily accessible. The on‑site restaurant is a standout feature, serving high‑quality, generous dishes on a terrace that boasts a jaw‑dropping panorama of the lake and stunning sunsets. Staff across reception, cleaning, and the restaurant are repeatedly praised for being friendly, warm, and attentive, often going out of their way to help guests. Spacious pitches offer plenty of room and many enjoy natural shade from surrounding trees, though some are sloping or stony and can be tricky for tent setup. The sanitary facilities are generally modern and kept spotlessly clean, with self‑cleaning toilets earning frequent positive remarks. Additional conveniences include a small shop, fresh bread and croissants in the morning, a bar, a playground, a bouncy castle, a children's garden, bowling, ping pong, and a jacuzzi. The campsite serves as an excellent base for hiking, motorcycling, and visiting the Grand Canyon du Verdon, with the GR99 trail nearby. Dog owners will find the campsite especially welcoming, with no restrictions on large dogs. However, the lake itself is a 15‑minute drive or a longer walk, not immediately adjacent. A common drawback is inconsistent hot water in showers, with a push‑button system providing only brief water flow and occasional days with no hot water at all. Some guests have reported ant problems on certain pitches, and the terrain is terraced and steep, with some recommending additional steps or handrails for safety at night. The absence of a swimming pool is a recurring wish from many visitors, who feel a simple pool would be a valuable addition for cooling off. The access road is noted as somewhat deteriorated, and parking can be tight, with vehicles sometimes parked a distance from units. Some accommodations lack essential kitchen utensils and can overheat without air conditioning or fans. The jacuzzi has been reported broken on several occasions, and the reception desk may sometimes be unattended. Despite these issues, the overwhelming majority of feedback highlights the campsite's magnificent location, tranquility, cleanliness, and friendly atmosphere as reasons to return again and again.
