Camping Krounebierg is a family-run gem that consistently leaves a lasting impression on guests, with many calling it the best campsite they've ever visited and returning year after year. Nestled in the scenic Luxembourg countryside, the site offers a beautiful terraced layout with spacious pitches that provide pleasant views over the valley, though some may require levelling and can become muddy after rain. The Dutch family owners and their team are exceptionally warm, friendly, and solution-oriented, going out of their way to make everyone feel welcome and resolving issues with generosity. Sanitary facilities are consistently described as top-notch, clean, and well-maintained across multiple blocks, with modern showers, including new rain showers that offer plenty of hot water. The on-site restaurant and snack bar serve lovely, tasty meals and snacks at very reasonable prices, with a terrace that offers great views, though it can get very busy at times. A small shop provides a fresh bread service each morning without needing a pre-order, adding convenience to your stay. The campsite features both an indoor swimming pool and a small outdoor paddling pool for children, and guests staying at least two nights enjoy free access to the adjoining municipal indoor pool and wellness area for two-hour sessions. Families appreciate the playground and the community hall available at no extra cost, plus entertainment activities organized in the late afternoon or early evening. The area is rich with excellent walking and cycling routes right from the gate, including paths along the Saône river and the rocky scenery of nearby Muhltal, often called Little Switzerland. One of the greatest assets is the site's proximity to a train station, offering free connections into Luxembourg City, with free parking and free public transport for dogs as well. Electricity has been upgraded to 16 amps, meeting modern needs for caravans and motorhomes. The overall atmosphere is small-scale, cozy, and tidy, making it a relaxing stopover or a longer family break. Despite its location near a motorway, many guests find the site surprisingly quiet, though some note traffic noise during peak season and daytime noise from a nearby school. The terrain's steepness can make levelling caravans challenging, and one guest reported needing tractor assistance when pitches were wet. WiFi is unstable and only usable in a limited part of the campsite, which is a drawback for those needing reliable internet. A fenced dog park just outside the camping is a nice touch for pet owners. The sanitary block was occasionally reported to be cleaned irregularly by one guest, and a few visitors found the number of toilets and showers not matching the price. The waste disposal area can be unclear to find, and the reception may be closed during lunch hours.
