This campsite offers a peaceful natural setting ideal for cycling enthusiasts, with easy access to Groede and Breskens. Over the years, experiences have varied widely, though the location along a creek with private jetties and sunset views stands out as a highlight. The friendly farmer owner in 2022 provided excellent value, but other years showed a profit-driven approach with additional charges for basic amenities. Pitches are adequately sized but often uneven and sloping, requiring guests to trample long grass, which leads to wet mornings. Sanitary facilities are a recurring weakness: far from pitches, poorly lit, lacking toilet paper, and with loose seats. Hot water is available at an extra cost but barely warm. Water access is limited to a single tap, and there is no wastewater disposal or fresh water filling point. WiFi is consistently unavailable. A children's play area exists but is dirty and neglected. The access road is narrow and winding, posing challenges for larger vehicles. Despite these issues, the campsite's quiet, scenic location makes it a good base for cycling and exploring the region. However, the high price does not match the poor conditions, and many guests would consider returning only for the location, not the facilities. Overall, this campsite prioritizes profit over comfort, leaving visitors feeling unwelcome.
