This campsite enjoys a stunning location right by the water, with panoramic views over a side arm of the Sognefjord. The setting is beautiful and tranquil, making it an ideal base for a relaxing holiday. Over the years, guests have consistently praised the exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. The sanitary facilities have improved dramatically, from being merely neat in 2021 to becoming top-notch and of a quality rarely seen at campsites by 2024 and 2025. Cleanliness has also seen a significant upgrade, reaching a perfect score in recent years. The campsite offers spacious, well-maintained pitches, including large unmarked grassy spots for tents and smaller campers, as well as paved pitches for motorhomes. Guests appreciate the ability to self-select pitches upon arrival and pay later. The nearby town of Sogndal provides all necessary amenities. The campsite owner is known for offering fantastic tips for scenic car excursions, which many consider the highlight of their trip to Norway. The campsite is also conveniently located near the longest road tunnel, making it a great spot for exploring the region. Families find it good for children, with a kid-friendly atmosphere noted in 2025. While pricing in 2021 was a concern, with rates differing from the app and higher costs for larger tents, by 2024 and 2025 guests found it absolutely worth the cost given the quality, tranquility, and stunning views. The only minor drawbacks are that some showers require tokens and the pitch shade is somewhat limited. Overall, this campsite delivers a memorable and high-quality experience.
