Camping Il Melo is a wonderfully peaceful retreat nestled in a natural setting, ideal for a relaxing escape. Guests can enjoy a pleasant walk along a small river to a charming nearby village with a bakery, shops, and terraced restaurants. The owners are incredibly helpful and speak excellent English, enhancing the overall experience. Electric bikes are available for rent, providing a great way to explore the surrounding mountains and towns like Cuneo and Mondovì, as well as the nearby Barolo wine region. The sanitary facilities are clean and provide hot water, and the swimming pool is notably well-maintained and attractive. However, there is a significant elevation change when walking to the sanitary block, which may be a consideration for some. It serves as an excellent base for mountain hiking and cycling trips in the beautiful area. The campsite is nature-oriented with spacious pitches and stunning mountain views. Guests can explore the surrounding plains and the area around Cuneo on e-bikes. The staff, particularly the owners Cristina and Abdou, are exceptionally helpful and proactive. When a power grid technical fault damaged guests' chargers and onboard equipment, the owner organized an electrician and a caravan specialist visit. Abdou personally drove guests to a professional workshop and managed repairs, replacing all damaged power supplies. The owners covered all repair and replacement costs, ensuring the guests' trip could continue smoothly. Such dedication and generosity make this campsite a highly recommended destination.
