This seaside campsite enjoys a prime beachfront location with direct access to a beautiful beach and is within walking distance of the town via a seawall promenade, making it convenient for pedestrians and cyclists. The setting is natural and tree-filled, offering a relaxed atmosphere, though the Atlantic coast can be a bit windy at times. Pitches are comfortable and come in both shaded and sunny options, but some may feel cramped or lack privacy as they can be positioned very close together. The staff receives exceptional praise for being warm, dedicated, and responsive year after year, with special mention of the maintenance team. Children's entertainment is noted as excellent, but adult activities are lacking. The on-site bar serves great pizza on weekends in June, and the restaurant is a highlight, though other dining options require a short cycle into town. The on-site shop has been criticized for selling reheated baked goods, prompting guests to buy fresh items elsewhere. The sanitary facilities receive mixed feedback: some find them clean and well-maintained, while others report them as outdated, cramped, and not always clean, suggesting a need for renovation. Showers and sinks also suffer from cleanliness issues, and the drinking water has a noticeable chlorine taste. A peculiar policy requires full upfront payment with no refunds for early departures, even when many spots remain empty, which diminishes overall value for money. Pitches labeled as "beach" come with an extra daily charge despite being only about 20 metres from standard ones. Despite its size, the campsite maintains a human scale, and regular visitors return year after year, attracted by the beautiful island surroundings. The campsite accepts the ACSI discount card, adding value for many visitors, though overall modernization would enhance the experience. Mobile home pitches are well-regarded, but Wi-Fi is not available. Direct beach access and proximity to Plage des Dames make this an easy and enjoyable seaside base for exploring on foot or by bike via the dyke or marshes.
