This campsite in the Loire Valley offers a convenient base for exploring châteaux and wooded surroundings on foot or by bike, with easy access to green cycling paths and the village of Bracieux. Over the years, guest experiences have varied widely. In its best years, visitors praise the large, well-maintained pitches and clean, heated sanitary facilities, with staff described as friendly and helpful. The heated swimming pool, bar, and shop are appreciated, staying open late into the season, and the value for money is considered strong, with nightly rates around 18 euros. However, recent reports paint a starkly different picture: pitches are now described as small, cramped, and muddy after rain, with no privacy between neighbors. Sanitary facilities are severely lacking, with only one toilet block serving the entire site, leading to long queues and poor cleanliness, while a second block remains inexplicably closed. The swimming pool is small, poorly supervised, and often overrun by noisy children, and the municipal pool advertised nearby was closed during one stay. WiFi is limited to the reception area, making connectivity extremely poor across the site. While reception and bar staff remain friendly, there is little visible maintenance elsewhere, and abandoned equipment is left uncleaned for days. Check-in is only possible after 15:00, which cuts into the day, and the ACSI discount is accepted but final charges may be higher than advertised. The only consistent positive is the surrounding area, offering abundant biking routes and cultural visits. Overall, this campsite falls short of its potential due to overcrowded facilities, poor upkeep, and lack of oversight, making it a disappointment for families expecting a well-maintained stay.
