The site has undergone significant renovations, culminating in a brand-new sanitary building with private shower cabins, bird song soundtracks, and ample dry hanging space—described by many as the most beautiful they have ever seen. Free hot water for dishwashing and laundry machines add to the convenience. Pitches are generally spacious and comfortable, with options for sun or shade, hardstanding for motorhomes, and grassy areas for tents and caravans. A standout feature is the beautiful swimming pool shaped like a ship, though some find the water chilly; the children's pool and natural playground are hits with families, alongside a petting zoo and occasional visits from alpacas and sheep. The on-site brasserie and restaurant serve delicious, affordable meals with a good selection of draft beer, though it may close occasionally due to chef illness. Cycling and hiking routes through the Limburg hills are excellent, with a bus stop right outside the gate and a supermarket just 500 meters away. Despite the overall tranquility, some pitches suffer from road noise, especially at night, and access routes can be very narrow for large caravans. Security concerns have been raised, with reports of trespassers and theft of electric bikes. The numbering of pitches can be confusing, leading to chaotic self-placement during busy periods, and rigid payment policies have frustrated some guests. There is no water or wastewater hook-up at individual pitches, and electric hook-up points may be far apart. While the sanitary facilities are top-notch, during renovation periods only temporary showers and toilets were available. The campsite is highly recommended for short stays and family holidays, but longer visits may reveal cramped conditions and noise drawbacks.
