Perched on a hillside with sweeping views of the sea and city, this campsite charms with its scenic Ligurian setting and serves as an excellent base for exploring Genoa, Camogli, Portofino, and Bogadesse. The terrain creates a dramatic landscape, but it also means access is tricky: a narrow, winding road leads in, and the steep driveway can cause front wheels to spin. For motorhomes, the entrance is extremely tight—mirrors must be folded—and some pitches are cramped, with neighbors close front and back. Tent campers should expect to carry gear from the car to their spot. The on-site restaurant is a highlight, popular with locals for its huge selection of affordable pizzas and friendly service, making it a great value for a meal. A small mini-market handles basic supplies, and a shuttle bus runs reliably to the beach and train station, even adding trips when full. The sandy beach is a short walk down a staircase, though the climb back up in summer heat can be strenuous. Sanitary facilities are old-fashioned but spacious, with large showers, separate toilet cabins, and free hot water for dishwashing; however, men may find the number of toilets insufficient. WiFi works fine, but electric hookups are limited to just 3 amps (about 650 watts), which feels inadequate for most needs. The site is fenced securely after dark to keep out roaming wild boars, and the gate closes at night for safety. Multilingual staff are generally friendly and will go out of their way to find a good spot, sometimes creating one, though consistency varies—some male employees have been described as unwelcoming, and promised ID collection didn't always happen. Despite these quirks, repeat visitors cherish the peaceful, simple atmosphere, especially at night, and the scenic Ligurian hiking trail passing right by adds to the appeal. Overall, guests recommend a maximum stay of two nights due to cramped conditions and steep costs, as ACSI cards are not accepted and the site feels overpriced for what's provided. The best pitches offer a magnificent sea view near the entrance gate, and for those seeking tranquility and natural surroundings, it remains an idyllic retreat.
