The pitches, while offering good shade under the trees, are somewhat untidy with rocks and old leaves present. The swimming pool is enjoyable, although the river is a considerable walk away despite the advertised riverside location. A Tuesday evening pizza night with live music adds a fun social element. The staff remains friendly and helpful. Overall, the campsite is charming with some minor drawbacks in pitch maintenance. It is highly recommended for its peaceful setting and river access.
