Nestled in the Biel region, this campsite offers a wonderful base for cycling holidays, with a cogwheel railway nearby to travel between the lake and mountains. The climate is pleasant, neither too hot nor too cold, and children are well looked after. Dogs are welcome with good opportunities for exercise, and guests can enjoy stunning sunrises and sunsets on the Chasseral. The lake is just a seven-minute walk away, and the welcome is very warm. The grounds are beautifully maintained, making it a delightful destination for spontaneous getaways. The sanitary facilities are exceptionally clean and modern, ensuring a comfortable stay. A restaurant remains open even during winter months, providing convenient dining year-round. There is a small shop on-site stocked with essential items. Public transport is available for free, with a bus stop a ten-minute walk away connecting to a nearby train station. Numerous walking trails begin right near the campsite, and a swimming pool and tennis courts are included in the price. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, quick to solve problems. The site provides a communal fridge and freezer, and toilet paper is supplied. Showers operate on coin meters, but the owners will provide coins if needed. However, the on-site restaurant is not recommended in recent years. A major drawback is the large number of dogs whose owners allow them to relieve themselves on pitches, lawns, and the playground without cleanup, causing significant frustration among other guests. Despite these issues, the campsite offers a very good basic experience with excellent value for money.
